Grace and Gators

I am about to leave to speak at a college retreat this weekend for UF students. I love doing college retreats! Lots of fun.

The students requested that I talk about God’s sovereignty in salvation and His grace (which are one in the same). I am really looking forward to spending the weekend talking about the Gospel. Is anything deeper, exciting, mysterious, or more important?

Few things about that:

-To even begin to get a grasp of God’s grace…we must focus on His holiness.
-To even begin to grasp His holiness…we must see how we, as sinners, are the exact opposite of Him.

That is where the grace discussion begins. We will be in heaven when we all will finally get it, but what an awesome thing to discuss in the meantime! Discussions about grace can only result in our worship of Him.

On another note: James McDonald has an awesome post about naming false teachers (McLaren, etc). Very important.
